Balance Bowl with Blackberry Maple Tahini

Balance Bowl with Blackberry Maple Tahini

It’s official, summer is knocking and it is blackberry month. Technically, every month is blackberry month in our home wether they come fresh or frozen.  It would suffice for me to say that our family of four will eat 3 clamshells of berries per day. Usually the berries are mixed but blackberries,

No, really I’m just kidding its actually quite balmy and nice outside so being inside the house making holiday crafts, watch movies, baking cookies and all things that I grew up doing just isn’t happening this year. Don’t get me wrong I would rather sit outside on the porch and read a book or go on a bike ride with the children but its Christmas time all over again. No complaints here though because I love Mexican Food and tacos AND bowls. I know this has both tomato and avocado which are technically fruits but I just can’t go without calling this a Veggie Taco Bowl.

A trip to Disneyland is something I got to do once I became a mom. Yep, never “Experienced the Magic” as a child partly because I lived in the midwest and both California and Florida were more than a day trip away. Now that I live in Atlanta and it’s a six hour drive and my children are the “perfect ages” we have visited. Apparently the perfect ages are 4-6 years and we fit into that window perfectly.
