I know it will be delicious but … Plant based what? Charcuterie? Exactly! Charcuterie is a word that I still pronounce incorrectly and have since the first time I heard my it. My younger sister was living in France during one of her college years. She lived with a family who owned and operated Butcher Shop under the small apartment that they shared with her and another American college student.
Are you ready for some football? No? Well, are you ready for some tailgating? I can’t think of a better way to celebrate one of America’s most loved sports and pastimes (tailgating) than with food. Healthy, easy and travel friendly food. I mean who should give up their results of gym-ratting all week just to spend the weekend eating junk?
Rawchos? Raw nachos? Apple nachos? Nachos without cheese? Huh? My thoughts exactly until one year ago when I through together poorly sliced apples, sunflower seed butter and chocolate syrup. Which, I might add is a totally acceptable way to make apple nachos unless you really want to create a super healthy version that you can stash away in your virtual recipe “box” for years to come.
First, let me start by saying that I don’t have and never had an aversion to foods based on color alone. I haven’t met a food that I don’t like period. It’s similar to the way that I view movies. Even if the movie is not entertaining and basically no good I still sit through the entirety for the experience. So, yes I have been known to eat some pretty random foods that I will likely not eat again but I did at least try them.
Yes, I am the mom that fed my babies and had to have a bit of whatever they were having…just to taste it. I was also that 3 foot tall toddler that stood by my grandpa’s chair at the dinner table basically begging for a bite of what he was having. LOL!
