Avalon Restaurant Week

Avalon Restaurant Week

This week is filled with many eventful firsts – including my very first experience attending a Restaurant Week. And it just happens to be the Avalon Restaurant Week

A fun, lively outdoor dining, shopping and entertainment area, Avalon and its inaugural Restaurant Week offers an appetizing culinary experience close to home. For one week only, this foodies’ paradise and its variety of restaurants will be offering prix fix menus ranging from $15-$35 per person and will include brunch, lunch and/or dinner. It’s the perfect excuse to try a new spot every night!

Avalon is located in Alpharetta, which is just North of Atlanta and is the home of our local Whole Foods Market and eclectic clothing and lifestyle shops, spas, exercise studios. In addition, more than a dozen eateries run by talented chefs from all over the country call Avalon home. My challenge this week was to visit some of the restaurants and grub on some amazing food while keeping it 1.) clean, 2.) fresh and 3.) vibrant.

The launch of Avalon Restaurant Week will showcase taste and talent from one spot to the next. What an amazing experience to visit and partake in my very first but not last Restaurant Week! So, how did I fair in my challenge to take on Avalon Restaurant Week, and to experience new tastes and ideas while still eating plant based? Success! I will be posting stories and photos from a few of my favorites for the week ahead. Let’s start with Bantam + Biddy.

Me and my husband went for a nice late lunch. The prix menu read much like the regular menu and as we could have ordered anything we decided sticking to the prix fix menu was the way to go. After all, we wanted to taste the best dishes they had to offer and we loved them all. I enjoyed a wonderfully refreshing glass of Strawberry-Jalepeno Lemonade made fresh right at the bar and the vegetable plate which included 3 sides: kale, carrot and wheat berry salad with cider dressing, fresh pickled beets and fresh cut sweet potato fries. My husband enjoyed the tomato gazpacho soup with basil yogurt, gluten free cornbread and a plate as well.

I love that they have options for everyone to enjoy and we will be back soon! Get out now and try this great find of mine.
